Mediko Apartment House is a 170-square-meter residence located in Ortaköy, Istanbul, designed to create a spacious and harmonious living environment. The interior design employs a contrast between light-toned walls and dark flooring to enhance the sense of space. Instead of traditional partitions, mirrors are used to separate the corridor from the living room, adding depth and openness.
In the kitchen, glossy surfaces and dark countertops reflect light, creating a fresh atmosphere, complemented by spot lighting integrated into geometric panels. The bathrooms feature a black and white color scheme with glossy finishes, including LED-lit mirrors to prevent darkness from matte black flooring. Rectangular ceramics are used consistently on floors and walls for a cohesive look.
The bedroom combines dark flooring with velvet textures for a simple yet elegant design. Pendant lighting creates a relaxing ambiance, and a concealed dressing area with a mirrored door adds functionality. Two children’s rooms are designed to stimulate creativity: one dominated by pink hues with various shapes, and the other in cream tones with colorful wall designs. A wooden bookcase is recessed into the wall to save space.
